SplitPlay is developed by MadeSteady. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the SplitPlay app collects, uses, and protects your information.
SplitPlay collects only the minimum data needed to provide group sports organization and cost-splitting features. We never sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
To provide our group sports management service, SplitPlay collects:
- Account Information: Your name and email address when you sign in with Google or Apple
- Profile Information: Display name and optional profile photo
- Group Data: Groups you create or join, member information, and group settings
- Game Data: Scheduled games, RSVPs, venues, and payment records
- Device Tokens: Push notification tokens for delivering real-time updates
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Authenticate your account and manage your profile
- Enable group creation, game scheduling, and RSVP tracking
- Calculate and track cost splits among group members
- Send push notifications about games, RSVPs, and payments
- Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
Data Storage
SplitPlay uses Supabase (hosted on AWS) to store your account and group data securely. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your data is stored in accordance with industry-standard security practices including row-level security policies.
Third-Party Services
SplitPlay uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Cloud database and authentication. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notification delivery. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple: Secure authentication without storing your password
- Google AdMob: Displays advertisements. Google may collect device information and advertising identifiers. Google Privacy Policy
Authentication
SplitPlay uses Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple for authentication. We do not store your password. We only receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier from these services.
Advertising
SplitPlay displays ads through Google AdMob, which may use cookies and device identifiers for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device's privacy settings.
Data Sharing
Your group data (name, RSVP status, payment status) is shared with other members of the same group. This is necessary for the app's core functionality. We do not share your data with any other third parties beyond the services listed above.
Data Deletion
You can delete your data by:
- Leaving groups you no longer want to participate in
- Deleting your account through the app settings
- Contacting us at [email protected] to request full data deletion
Children's Privacy
SplitPlay is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
